Beef Stroganoff With Peas

I took a simple stroganoff recipe, and added a few ingredients to make it better (in my opinion)... this is the result.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can fat free condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups frozen peas

Preparation:

  • in a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef over medium heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until browned.
  • drain the fat and add the garlic and onions and paprika
  • fry them up for a bit.
  • add the mushrooms
  • fry again for a bit
  • add the soup & the worcestershire sauce
  • add the frozen peas
  • simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • meanwhile, prepare the egg noodles according to package directions
  • remove from heat and combine the meat mixture with the egg noodles.
  • add the sour cream, stirring well, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
