Van Life

I've always been facinated by van life (you can tell by the number of Westfalia stuff I have. lol).
So for 2025, I've decided to start making Van Life a real thing.

I'm gonna start by just turning my Grand Caravan into a better van camping setup. If I enjoy it, then when I retire I may think of going to the next level.

Hopefully my passion will make up for my lack of knowledge.

So for now... here is what I'm planning:

  1. Get a proper tune-up of the van (make sure it's still good for many more years)
  2. Get privacy curtains for the back sleeping area.
  3. Mosquito screen so can sleep with open window in hot months.
  4. Remove middle row seats to have large storage areas
  5. Make a standard inventory list for camping
  6. See if I can get a bike rack for the van that does not require a hitch.
  7. Build a platform? (need to see how much the storage bins hold.)

As I get things done, I'll update this page.

My Progress:

  • Replaced my battery
  • Countless and pointless van appointments to fix an issue that can't be fixed. lol
  • Divider curtains to separate the font from the back.
  • New 'RUBBY' license plates
