Sweet Chile Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, grated

Preparation:

  • Bring the vinegar, sugar and salt to a boil in a saucepan and cook until dissolved.
  • Simmer until thickened and reduced by half, about 15 minutes.
  • Stir in the crushed red pepper, ginger and garlic, and serve.
