BBQ Chili

thanks to cristina for submitting her vegetarian chili recipe to us as part of the nature challenge!

Ingredients:
- 2 onions, cut up
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 packages of Yves Veggie Ground Round (original flavour)
- 2 cans of red kidney beans
- 1 (28oz) large can of diced tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 2 Tbsp oregano
Preparation:
- sauté onions and garlic until golden
- add Ground Round. I toss them around in there until the ground round is hot (about 2 minutes)
- add red kidney beans and diced tomatoes
- stir it all up (it looks a little like soup at this point)
- let it softly bubble for about an hour, stirring every 5 to 10 minutes
- add in cumin powder, chili powder, and oregano flakes.
- let it gently bubble until it looks like chili.
about 2.5 to 3 hours
- stir relatively often... never leave it go for more than 15 minutes, otherwise you get burnt bits
