Hawaiian Meat Balls
Ingredients:
sauce:
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup brown sugar
2 can pineapple tidbits (drained)
2/3 cup white vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 green pepper, diced
meat balls:
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup milk
2/3 cups green onions, chopped
2 lbs ground beef
3/4 lbs ground pork
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation:
sauce:
pour pineapple juice in measuring cup and add water to measure 1 cup (if neccessary)
combine all sauce ingredients (except for green pepper) and bring to boil
cook until thicken
meat balls:
in a large bowl, combine all meat ball ingredients.
shape into 1-inch balls and brown on a cookie sheet at 325.
placed the browned meat balls in a casserole (or two), pour sauce over the meal and add the green pepper
cook, covered for 1 hour at 325.
