Sarsparilla Trail and more

Just wanted to get some fresh air, so went and did the short Sarsparilla trail.

After feeding the chickadees for a bit, I continued and spotted some porcupine poo at the bottom of a tree and sure enough there was a porcupine in the tree, although I couldn’t get a great shot.

Then I enjoyed watching a short-tailed weasel running around. very cute.

After being successful at spotting some wildlife I drove over to an area where I knew there was a snowy owl spotted lately. I did see the snowy owl but only from far away. As I walk to get closer, at one point I looked down to check my footing and when I looked back up it was gone. I waiting a bit to see if I could spot it again, but no luck, and I wasn’t properly dressed to be hanging out for a long time for it to come back. I might try again another time as I would really like to get a good photo of a snowy owl.

And then I saw a flock of snow buntings as I was heading back home.
