Rideau Trail: 14C to 15B

Since it was the first day of Summer and I had not done a run or hike for the last couple days becasue of the heat, I decided to go out after work.

I checked the weather radar and it looked like only a small chance of getting rained on.

Well, it rained almost the entire time... and I think it is ok to admit that sometimes hikes suck!

I ended up getting soaked, blisters, the horseflies were unbearable and I was having a bad day to begin with. This hike was suppose to lift my spirits.

Sometimes it is nice to hike solo, get to go your own pace, see more because of being quieter, etc. But I really would have like a partner for this one... it was mentally draining.

Anywhoo.. Happy first day of Summer! lol
