the tidal bore already passed by the time we arrived that day...
the water level is still rising though


about an hour later the water has risen


is that a little penguin on that iceberg floating by?


penguins? puffins? nope... just a gull.

the very fast partridge... so fast that it is actually blurry in it's natural state


a birch tree gets to spend its existence watching the tidal bore go in and out twice a day


a strategically placed bench, so you can watch the tidal bore and the traffic on the bridge


the slowly rising waters look so peaceful...


but they are also very powerful...
they even swallow up entire birds that get in its way

we decided to stop here...
we didn't really need to know where the stairs led to
