Rideau Road Quarry
May 9, 2004

This is not a real trail, we just went and hiked around this area just south of ottawa by rideau road. Found out about this place from a guided nature walk done couple of years ago and at the time the guide had shown the group a very rare plant in the area, the skunk cabbage. Couldn't find it this time but as you can see, saw lots of other things and the fiddlehead ferns in particular made it all worthwhile!
