Innsbruck

One of our last excursions was to visit Innsbruck . Known as “The Pearl of Austria”, Innsbruck has hosted the Winter Olympic Games twice. We mainly stayed in the old part of the city to visit some of the main tourist highlights. These included the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), a visit to the top of the old city hall tower, and walking along the Maria-Theresien Strasse. Since the weather wasn't the greatest, we also took the opportunity to do some shopping.

The Inn flows right through Innsbruck .
