A Trip to the Big Apple!

January 27-29, 2006

A trip to the big apple to visit Bec and Clinton. ok, so maybe it's not "the" big apple that you may of thought, but it was definitely more fun at this one. at less than 10 geocache finds under our belt at the time, Rubby and Clinton took the kids out for a day of geocaching fun.

we arrive safely...

and sam finds lots of new toys to play with!

sam sleeps in the next morning!

she finally wakes up... with a huge appetite!

what a basket case!

look... babies come from the store!

llamas

rabbits

and even geocaches at the big apple!

the kids now have to decide what to trade.

sam is just happy to tag along.

whoa, that's a big apple!

but it's closed

next stop, peter's woods provincial nature reserve

gotta have a good hiking stick!

getting a history lesson

others are doomed to repeat it! ;)

a nice sunny spot on the bench to relax.

no caches in here!

nothing under here either

aha! the kids found the treasure!

yup... there it is!

church of St. peter

good place for this church travel bug to take a rest.

next... off to the beach!

that's an easy find!

all bundled up

i wonder what could be in this tree? ;)

another geocache "drive-in drive by"

another lake side stop

mmm fish!

the water is frozen (at spots)

still have a couple hours of daylight today!

quack!

look out for...

...more fish!

cool playstructure!

what's that in the cedars? another geocache!

sam is happy being outside

and treasure hunting with poppa

careful you don't go ploumps!

cool van!

back inside and time for a snack!

play time!

such posers!

sam trying to figure out how to get out!

happy kids getting ready for bed

game night for the adults.... rock, papper, scissors?

next moring, the older kids get to watch tv

the younger ones are contained.

oh no! i think they are learning how to escape!

coronation street!? is this a punishment or a reward? ;)

cute.

pick it up, and drop it.. repeat over & over!
