Today we decided to finish off the west side of Cape Breton National Park by hiking the Skyline Trail which is renowned for its beautiful views. The weather was beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife along the way. We had lunch at Beulach Ban Falls and then drove the Cabot Trail to the other side of the park, taking a scenic byway and doing some geocaching along the way. We ended the day at our new camp site in Broad Cove.
What a lovely picnic spot for our breakfast.
Was that a bear growl or a loose rock tumbling down?
A heron flies by overhead.
We checked out a little brook by the picnic spot.
