1000 Islands

What better way to spend a day than on an international tour of the 1000 Islands. With passports in hand for the stopover at Boldt Castle on the American side of the St. Lawrence, we headed to Rockland to catch the boat tour. Despite her worries about motion sickness, Aunt Laurie fared the voyage well and Samantha had great fun on the boat, even getting a chance to 'drive' at one point! When asked if she enjoyed the outing, Samantha replied "Let's do it again!"

We arrive in Rockport where we get tickets for our boat tour.

Somewhere around here is a geocache but without any info on what we're looking for,
we log a "did not find"

Lots of boaters on the St. Lawrence River enjoying the beautiful day.

Samantha is excited to go on a boat trip with Grandma and Grandpa.

While waiting, a swimming dog provides entertainment for Samantha.

Grandpa holds on tight but it still makes the tour guide a little nervous.

Lots of beautiful 'cottages' on the islands.

Another boat tour heading back.

Samantha is enjoying the view.

Sam thinks she should be on this boat instead.

Hanging out with Grandma.

The smallest international bridge, it spans the Canadian and US border.
(Where are the customs guards?!)

Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream...

The bigger international bridge.

Look at me! I'm driving!

I can't believe they let me drive this thing!
