Poetry Brick

Barbara and Laurie managed to rope Bryan into getting crafty and creating a "Poetry Brick" for the garden. Essentially this consisted of a kit with letters, variously shaped molds and enough concrete to create a single decorative brick. They decided to make one with Samantha's name, her hand print and '07 to commemorate the year.

Bryan can't believe that Laurie and Barbara have roped him into this.

Barbara gets started right away.

Laurie takes the academic route and decides to actually read the instructions.

Bryan's job is the dirty work... mixing the cement.

Bryan can be fairly handy... with the correct supervision of course! ;-)

It's time to bring in the real artist.

Grandpa helps Sam with the hand print.

 
It's a dirty job, but Samantha handled it well.

ta-da! Now we just have to wait for it to dry.
