Geo Flash Mob Event

I had an idea this year to organize a geocaching event and to make it be a flash mob to commemorate the summer solstice. Basically, the definition of a flash mob is:

flash mob (FLASH mawb) n. A large group of people who gather in a usually predetermined location, perform some brief action, and then quickly disperse. —v., —adj.

There have been huge flash mob events organized throughtout the world with thousands of people attending which must be quite a sight. Ours was a little more subdued with only about 20 people showing up so the effect wasn't really the same. However, unexpected weather conditions and the fact that it was a firt flash mob event for Ottawa made it a lot of fun. As we arrived at Dow's Lake for the event,
we could see lots of Dragon Boat Racers practicing on the lake.

As we tried to stay inconspicuous, we saw a lot of strange people walking by! ;-)

We're not sure Sam cares much about flash mobs, but she was certainly excited to be at the beach.

As we waited for the event time to get closer,
something a little more ominous was approaching.

Hmmm, seems the wind picked up a bit... someone get this tent some first aid!

Nothing like a bit of a windstorm on the beach to make volleyball more exciting!

One of the geocachers was going to videotape the event but I think the sight of the tent whipping by made him change his mind

Samantha is not sure about the beach anymore...
the lifeguards won't even let us go in the water!
