Day 2 - At the Beach

After our morning hike, we had our picnic lunch at the beach and then played in the sand and water. It was a gorgeous day to be at the beach. Being past the main tourist season we had lots of room to play and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the sand was... it almost felt like we were at some tropical vacation resort... until you felt the cold waters of Lake Ontario! ;-)

An access path leading through the fragile sand dune vegetation.

Clinton takes the cooler and Bec takes a kid and supplies while Doug valiantly carries... the juice! ;-)

Samantha is ready to start digging.

Looks like we have the place to ourselves!

The chef doling out the food.

Mmmmm! These are yummy sandwiches!

Emily can't wait to finish her lunch to get digging.

Keegan is the first one in the water.

The glider and the activities of the group picnic next door provide us with some entertainment.

Emily the little California surfer girl.

Swimming time.

Nap time for the 'kids'?

crocodile!

The serious digging begins.

The sea monster (aka. mysterious towel lady) who roams the waters at the beach.

Time to towel off and warm up.

We had lots of fun at the beach!
