Samantha's 3rd Birthday

March 1, 2008

We had Sam's birthday party the Saturday before her birthday. It was a small family party and Samantha was very excited when she saw all the decorations. Lots of presents, playtime with her cousins, the traditional two birthday cakes... what more can a three year old ask for?!

Sam comes home from swim class to find the
house decorated and a special Ariel birthday balloon.

Sam helps make a pizza lunch and...

takes a little power nap with poppa before the guests arrive.

Look mom, the present is bigger than I am!

Queen Samantha... she would have waved but she had to hold on to her hat.

Momma and baby Swiper (courtesy of Oma and Opa)
look exhausted already and the party is just starting.

I guess Samantha will be our driver in Argentina!

Samantha got a .... a bong?! Sure, that's a "bubble blower" from Argentina!

Grandma and Sammy look at the sweater from Argentina.

Yay, yay, it's the monkeys...!

More gifts from the Hayeks...

...a cherry picking game and a French book on mermaids.

Sam's first Barbie doll.

Sammy and her baby Jaguar birthday cake. (meow, meow!)

After weeks of practicing, Samantha blows out the candles.

Look everyone, it's Baby Jaguar and a Diego candle!

mmmm, dig in!

More presents...
next year Samantha can make her own birthday cake with her new bake set!

2 more chairs from Grandpa... now Samantha can have her friends over too!

Everyone enjoying the birthday fun.

Rubby found a great hiding spot in his quiet snow cave.

After dinner it was time for cake number 2...
the Chocolate and Caramel Ice Cream Cake

Birthdays are tiring so Helena offers to help blow out the candles.

A last good night story before bed time.
