March 9, 2008
The winter of 2008 was one of the snowiest on record for ottawa. at first it was annoying, but towards the end of the winter, we were actually hoping for more and more snow because we were making snow caves and having lots of winter fun.
the view out our front window.
a different angle.
lots of snow.
the backyard.
the back porch
the basement window is almost completely covered.
the play structure.
enough photos from inside... it's time to get out and play!
snack time in the snow cave.
christopher is not quite sure about being in the snow cave.
sam is "helping" poppa shovel.
weeeeee... shoveling is fun!
last scoop!
time to head back into the cave.
a view down the road.
a snow angel
did i mention that there was lots of snow this winter?
even the squirel thinks there might be too much snow.
nothing like an outdoor nap.
when it's not safe to drive...
... you need to use old fashionned horse power.
time to play at the "tower"
the snow pushing up against the house.
very pretty.
the paths have now become trenches.
here come the snow plow!
sam & poppa watch it go by
too bad christopher was still napping.
there it goes... not much difference to the road.
time to check....
... the mail
sam wonders if the maiman is enjoying all the snow this year?
time to shovel out the mailbox.
one is getting tired....
... and the other one is waking up!
time to relax
chillin' cape breton style.
sam has her own little cave.
