Day 17 - july 21
parlee beach, shediac & riverview marsh

Today was our day to say good-bye to Cape Breton. As we headed back through Nova Scotia we contemplated the plans for the rest of our trip. A week long forecast of rain at the Tourism place on the NB/NS border made us decide to cut our vacation short and just head home. But our decision didn't sit right with us... did we really want to bail just because of a little rain in the forecast? So as we came to the Parlee Beach exit we changed our mind and pulled off. Sam's excitement at camping some more reconfirmed our decision to stay. However when we pulled in at Parlee Beach Campground our hearts sank... another one of those places that's more of a place to park, than a place to camp. With an agenda of visiting area earthcaches and not spending any time at camp other than to sleep, we decided to stay put anyway, but this place is definitely not one we would recommend!

So as soon as the tent was set up we headed out. First stop was to visit the big lobster in Shediac, then on to the Riverview Marshlands Earthcache.
