Christmas Morning
In the past we've often opened gifts on Christmas Eve but given that Sam and Christopher's bedtime is generally between 6 and 7 pm, and they usually get up around 6am no matter how late they go to bed, we decided to wait and open the presents in the morning when everyone was rested and cheerful.
Sammy and Christopher were soooo excited about Santa's visit. Sammy was extra happy because not only did Santa bring her what she wished for (a polka-dot helmet and a stripey shirt that is too big so she can wear it when she grows some more), he also brought her stripey socks AND a Horton Hears a Who game! Wow!
Sammy elf is in charge of getting the stockings from by the fireplace.
The cat keeps a careful watch over the Christmas gifts, hoping Santa left one for him too.
Rubby got a stocking? I thought Santa could tell who was naughty?
Christopher likes his new tractor... it even turns into a book!
Samantha got a Dora sewing kit from poppa.
Christopher is gonna cook us Christmas dinner with his new set of pots and pans.
Mommy made Samantha a snow princess costume from the skirt of her old grade 8 graduation dress.
An oversized stripey shirt from Santa.
Horton found the clover!
