Sam's 4^th Birthday

This year we were prepared that Sam would want to have a real birthday party with other kids, but when we asked who to invite, the whole idea seemed a little overwhelming to her and in the end Samantha decided to just have a family party 'like last year'. I don't know if at some point she was having thoughts cause one day she mentioned that her friend "Liam has a family too you know." uh huh.

Anyway, Oma & Opa, Grandma & Grandpa, and the Hayeks were all invited. Unfortunately the chicken pox hit the Hayeks, and so the family party ended up being a little smaller than intended. But of course that just meant that weeks later, we ended up having a 'catch up' birthday party at the Hayeks house, so it was all good in the end.
