Friday, June 19 - rain day in Westendorf
The forecast had called for rain but in the morning it looked ok and we decided to head out for a walk. We didn't get far before it started to pour so we headed up to Uri's instead where the kids played all morning with the toys that Annemarie had brought down for them.
For lunch we ate Marillen knoedln (apricot dumplings) that Annemarie had prepared and Uri cooked for us. In the afternoon Rubby took Christopher back to the hotel for his nap and then for a little walk around town. In the meantime Uri asked to take Samantha shopping for PJs for both Christopher and Samantha.
For supper Annemarie made us homemade pizza in her special pizza oven gadget. The pizza was amazing... we especially liked all the garlic on it. Sammy fell asleep on the bench after dinner so she ended up having an overnight with Oma. Of course, while moving her from the kitchen to the bedroom, she woke up and ended up not being able to fall asleep until super late. So poor Oma had to stay up to have a pyjama party with Sam.
So much for our plan to go for a walk... the kids play in the rain instead.
Back inside, Sam enjoys a hot chocolate... mustache!
Now it's snowing! Oma is making it snow on the Marillenknoedln (apricot dumplings). Mmmmm!
Time to go shopping in town and Sammy says hi to Alpinolino along the way.
After Christopher's nap,
Rubby took him for a little walk to get a geocache by the lift station.
