June 17 - July 14, 2009
This morning it was cloudy and raining so we went to Uri's and the kids played there until lunch. After lunch the sun came out so we decided to head up the mountain. With not much time, we decided to go up to the Fleiding cross. The trek is not far but instead of a winding path you have to cut straight up over the ski slope which is quite steep. Although a cloud threatened our summit visit shortly, it went away again and we headed back down dry.

Colouring time.
Christopher tried to entertain poppa in the meantime.
A boy in a bucket...
Mmmmm, lunch time!
Finally a day when we can actually see the top of the mountain we're about to go up!
Heading up the ski slope.
A nice view of Gaisberg.
Sam and Rubby watch a foggy cloud coming towards us.
Christopher has already fallen asleep.
In case the cows need a bath...
Butterfly.
Samantha joins poppa at the top (momma is always last of course!)
The signing and stamping of the logbook.
Sammy holding up the logbook.
There were tons of bees up on Fleiding and this one was curious about our stampy books.
Rubby of course has to have his own little peak.
Enjoying the views.
Another butterfly.
And a nice view back to the Alpinolino lift station and Guggenkoegele.
Time to head back down!
This was one of the butterflies that joined us on
our hike down and occasionally landed on us.
A looming cloud.
Samantha enjoying the flowers.
Christopher can look pretty tough but he's a sweetie at heart.
Two beep beep machines!
When Christopher gets really happy and excited
he would often start hitting himself on the head... strange.
