Aug 10: the drive
yikes... rain!
the good news is that we had to drive all day...
the bad news is that I had to pack everything up wet!
on the road again... passing by the turn off to hopewell rocks.
driving through a town.
moncton?!
guess where we are?
that's right.... timmy's!
the new brunswick / nova scotia border.
will the rain ever end?
the kids don't mind.... they are happy as can be.
we arrive in cape breton!
i promised sam that we would stop at a Mcdonald's so she could play, but I didn't find one, so we ended up at dairy queen (since they had a play area)
christopher loves to dip his food.
sammy is happy
play time!
back out on the road.
sam fell asleep with a bucket on her head (i didn't put it there)
best thing to do during a long drive... sleep!
good thing too... there were lost of construction slow downs.
since the kids didn't get a real breakfast, I told them they could have breakfast for supper.
next stop... aunt barbara's (until we find out that they are at laurie's)
