Aug 18: beach

campground host... sounds liek that could be a fun job

we head toward the campground beach

looks like a few others had the same idea.

sam is ready to get wet!

and so is christopher

this beach was great...

very sandy...

and you can go out a long ways

...maybe too far!

the clear waters

and warm too!

playing in the sand

then running in the water to wash off

and repeat several thousand times!

a little critter crawling in the water.

sam is enjoying another sunny hot day.

shot down the beach.

making canals for the water to reach the ocean

a gull floats past.

the kid's turn to float

and practice swimming.

i think the kids would be happy to live near the ocean

sam would probably spend her summers in the water.

and christopher too

by the end.. he was no longer shy about going in.

playing in the wet sand is fun

dig, dig, dig...

getting dirty...

maybe it's time to go clean off.

nope.... it's more fun to stay dirty!

but i convince them to clean up.

time to swim over to the exit.

back on land... sam finds a place for a drink
