We were having a great time watching the elephant seals and just enjoying the beautiful day on the beach. It was the first time on this trip that we just relaxed and hung out. The only problem was that we were unprepared... we had left our lunch in the car and only had a couple of chocolate snacks and little water along. Also, we'd forgotten the kids' hats as well as the sunscreen in the car. Nevertheless, we were all enjoying the day and so we opted to stay on the beach until the tide started coming in before heading back up the cliff for a very late lunch at 2pm.
As we started making our way back to Puerto Madryn we made a couple of stops along the way to check out the lighthouse and to follow an armadillo that Rubby had spotted along the road.

Sam cuddles up with Rubby to keep warm... the wind is a bit chilly.
The view the other way.
The 'road' back. (just don't tip it, just don't tip it!)
Beautiful yellow flowers all along the road.
Hmmm, wonder if this is a loggable benchmark! ;-)
At the Punta Ninfas lighthouse... seriously, a boat would have long crashed into the cliffs by the time they saw the light!
Time to head back... go straight!
Pichis have very short ears and their slightly convex armor is greyish brown with whitish lateral edges, has seven movable bands, is covered by scarse hair and exhibits an extremely toothed edge. They are solitary and mainly diurnal creatures.
Pichis dig shallow holes for shelter mainly in sandy soil.
Their diet consists of insects, invertebrates, small vertebrates, plant matter and even carrion.
We were driving along the countryside and all of a sudden these
two amazingly beautiful white horses were standing right next to the road!
Coming back into Puerto Madryn.
