November 15: Alerces National Park - El Abuelo: Driving to Parque Nacional Los Alerces
This morning we wanted to make sure we left bright and early to give us plenty of time to get to the national park, find the right parking, and hike to where we'd meet up with the boat for our outing. Although cloudy, it was not raining when we left so we were pretty optimistic about the weather.

We noticed that a lot of the large signs were made of horizontal slats rather than single boards...
not sure whether its supposed to help against the winds...?
A little cloudy, but the rainbow gives us hope that we'll have a good day.

A sign warning about driving fast gives us false hope that we may get to spy one of the elusive huemels.

We were surprised not to see a single "Watch out for falling rocks" sign along the road.

A beautiful waterfall.
Maybe this rainbow will bring us luck so we can spot some of the rare wildlife.
