November 6-29, 2009
Once again the day started off with beautiful weather so once the kids were up we had breakfast and by 8:30 am we were heading out the door. We drove south almost down to San Martin de los Andes and then turned westward on RP-48 following the northern shore of Lago Lacar. Our first stop was a geocache and we ended up doing a very short hike to a beautiful clearing where lo and behold, we actually found the geocache! Was the Argentine geocaching curse finally broken?!
The resident chimango (Milvago chimango) at the hotel apartments.
Christopher is still sleeping in his "nest".
Time to wake up, Christopher!
That's better... all dressed and ready to go for another adventure!
Among the additional services that the hotel has to offer: massages, make-up, pedicures, yoga, and ... baby SISTERS?!
Interesting wiring setup.
Every time we wanted to come try this little corner store down the road it was closed
so we decided to take a picture of its hours.
A different way of hauling home firewood.
We see a beautiful view of Volcan Lanin in the distance today.
Interesting little growths that we found on the tree.
There were lots of these growths growing in the trees.
Here's a whole cluster of the growths!
A bird up in the tree.
Hooray! For once we actually found the geocache!
Going under a "bridge".
