The invitation:
"On June 14, Canadian Heritage (PCH) is holding a celebration at the Canadian Museum of Civilization to recognize your efforts and dedication as public service employees.
Award Ceremony
The Recognition Award Ceremony will kick off the celebration.
It will be held the Canadian Museum of Civilization Theatre at 11:00.
BBQ and Tickets
BBQ tickets are $2 and include a hamburger, veggie burger or hot-dog, salads and a beverage.
Service times will be 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
We encourage you to bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the music and beautiful riverfront setting.
Free Access to ’’The Horse’’ exhibition
The Canadian Museum of Civilization has graciously offered complementary access to the "The Horse" Exhibition at the museum on June 14. *Please note that you will be asked to present your employee card to see the exhibit."
we arrive... now where do we go?

we arrive nice and early to gets seats in the back (in order to leave quickly for the bbq afterward)
a good turnout for the awards ceremony... unfortunately I didn't win anything (again)
after the ceremony, we take a short cut to the bbq through the childrens museums...

should have grabbed an umbrella along the way!

all the different kinds of horse... there is the icelandic horse!
this is how i felt (if I had hair) about only getting one cookie with lunch
it was raining, so we took the shuttle bus back to work (yes... it's only about 5 blocks away)

taking a blind photo backwards... looks like one person wasn't too happy about it.
