sam tests out the rod and is ready to go!

now she just needs to wait for the rest of us.

heading down to the water.

 
checking out the supllies and getting ready to cast off

now it's time to test samantha's patience.

 
how long can she last?

is she starting to lose interest?

poppa joins in to keep sam company

and guess what?

poppa gets a bite! although it got away (didn't have a net to scoop it up with)

now that sam knows the fish are biting... she is excited again.

at least for a little bit.

looks like christopher got a hold of the camera... nice toes!

look.. poppa caught a stick!

 
rubby tells opa where to fish... and voila! opa catches a fish!

another small snack.

 
the kids move in to see what opa is doing... and then turn around when they realize what it is.

hmmm.. maybe this could be used as bait?

time to clean up and catch some more fish.

need to add some more bait first.

 
meanwhile, christopher is playing at the park.

ok boys... it's time to call it a day!

back at oma & opa's place...

the fish is cleaned and cooked

we need some "chips" to go with our fish so we headed over to the local chip wagon.

and a couple of burgers too... since we didn't catch enough for everyone.
