Hopfgarten
Towards late afternoon some threatening thunder clouds and the potential of the lift closing down encouraged us to start heading back. At the top of the Hohe Salve we could actually see the lightning in the distance! However by the time we got back down to Hopfgarten it was nice and sunny again.
In Hopfgarten we ended up meeting with uncle Georg before heading back to Westendorf. Georg is a butcher and he would be providing the roasted pig for Opa's retirement party so they were trying to figure out what size of pig to order for the number of people anticipated.
As we got to the top of Hohe Salve to head home, we noted that the weather in Westendorf was looking pretty stormy!

The kids are not deterred by the impending storm and head off to play for five minutes at the giant's head.

Back in Hopfgarten we pass by one of those giant balls you can get strapped into and then you get rolled down the hill.

By the time we got back to Westendorf we had missed all the bad weather and even Hohe Salve is all clear again!
