kundler klamm

muehltal

The excursion throught the Kundler Klamm was fascinating but equally beautiful was the walk through Muehltal in the Wildschoenau area on the other side of the gorge. We enjoyed our walk into town and took some time to check out the little chapel on the hill.

What a lovely spot for a rest.

Not sure what this was all about...

What a beautiful spot!

It's hard to see but some little things are buzzing all around this house.

Turns out they are bees! That's the most beautiful bee house we've ever seen!

A nice little back route into town.

A beautiful farm house with a gorgeous fruit tree right up against the house. Note the solar panels!

A hay barn.

A beautiful day in the Wildschoenau!

Another typical farm house with the wood all stacked prim and proper.

"This field is used for the production of food and feed production, please don't dirty it with dog poop!"

Beautiful flowers, even throughout the veggie garden. And the sign indicates that they make their own "obstler".

We thought this boy was so cute watering the flowers.

Coming in from raking the hay.

"Bio-logic". I love it!

Arriving in the town of Muehltal.

A statue along the road side.

A beautiful old wooden house.

Grapevines grown up along the house... perfect for the hungry hiker going by!

And yes, they are real grapes!

A beautiful church perched up on the hill.

A garage that's used only for cars and tires... how strange is that?!

Climbing the back stairs up to the church.

Sam at the front entrance of the church.

More like a chapel than a church, there was a grotto at the front.

Beautiful painting on the ceiling of the church.

Even the pews are simple yet beautiful in their small details.

The view of the church from the road.

The view as you drive into the town.

This must be the home of the Bummelzug train we had seen earlier today.

Everyone has their special drink and sandwich.

"Supper" while we wait for the bus.
