Christmas Tree Hunting

we are greeted by horses! so we decided to go for a wagon ride before tree hunting.

it was a cool day... especially waiting for the horse ride to begin.

off we go!

only a few flakes of snow on the ground

 
hard to tell by these photos, but the kids enjoyed the wagon ride!

we start the tree hunt... the kids think this one would be good!

this is the one we settled on.

time to saw it down... poppa gets it started

christopher pays attention, knowing that someday, he might be asked to do it.

but this year, it's samantha's turn to help

it was a little tougher than she expected.

so poppa finished it off.

we got it!

time to get it all wrapped up

in one end...

... and out the other

we're now ready to go!

just as soon as the kids get their candy canes.

all tied up! (the tree... not me!)

it's snowing!

mmmm... fresh snow! yummy!

the wagon rides continue.

 
back at home, the kids hang up the ornaments.
