We started off our day at Cedar Dunes Campground and slowly made our way along the west coast up to the northern point of North Cape where we saw a wind farm. Although the day wasn't as warm or sunny as the day before, Sam and Rubby still managed to take a dip in the ocean and then we headed more inland to do some geocaching at Summerside. We finished off our PEI tour by going to Charlottetown where we did a bit of shopping and then headed back to Moncton just as a big thunderstorm started to hit.
take coffee to the playground!
Our campsite at Cedar Dunes... the central playground means that the kids can go play while the parents can still keep an eye on them from the campsite.
The bunnies of the campsite were a favourite attraction for Samantha.
From the campsite we walked along the beach to West Point Lighthouse.
Sam and Rubby heading to the lighthouse.
West Point Lighthouse has the distinction of being Canada's only inn housed inside a lighthouse.
Even the birds have their own version of the lighthouse!
we discover some interesting plants along our walk.
As we headed on the road again, we couldn't decide which way to go...
Rubby ended up in Campbellton
A bare bones lighthouse along the way.
Miminegash is known for its seaweed pies... we decided to pass on them.
We discovered some interesting local transportation.
Stopping along a beach we found a truck driving along the beach to collect seaweed...
... a big seaweed harvest. Mmmm, more pies!
Hey poppa, quick run over there...
... hi birds!!!!
In the distance we can see the wind turbines of North Cape.
