With everyone at the campground, we had an early start to the day with Rubby's hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausages, bacon, hash browns and... beans?! The refried beans seemed odd to some but was particularly enjoyed by all the maritimers in the group. After breakfast we enjoyed a short hike on the Owen Point Trail where we saw lots of interesting flora and fauna. Bec then treated us to a picnic lunch of sandwiches on the beach. The kids (and parents!) got nice and tuckered playing in the sand and water for a couple of hours. Before heading back to camp to join the others, we took the opportunity to nab a few caches just outside the park in the Brighton vicinity. Back at the campsite we had games, food and fireside fun.
