Tank Talk, Ice cream and Flying Squirrels

We are introduced to Bruce the rock crab at the Tank talk in the visitor centre.

Samantha tries to get a glimpse of some of the interesting creatures... moon snails, sea slippers, sea urchins, hermit crabs, and Bruce's buddy - Gertie the rock crab.

The guide did a great job of telling the kids all about the different animals in the tank.

Ice cream treat in Alma. This became a favourite spot for us, especially Samantha who called this particular hut 'the brown one'.

Both kids perfected their ice cream licking techniques on this trip!

Another geocache - the theme of this one was flying squirrels.

Samantha excitedly shows us the information cards which talk about the squirrel houses set up by the park in the trees. In fact, Sam was so excited to see the squirrel houses that she ended up tripping and flying over the edge of the boardwalk. For the rest of the trip we talked about how we saw the Flying Sammy Squirrel at Fundy.

A little bird along the beaver pond on the Caribou Plains trail.

Rubby, Samantha and Christopher at the beaver pond.
