July 5 - 25, 2008
Today was the day to head home. We had showers on and off as we travelled but a double rainbow brought us luck and the rain held off for a couple of earthcaches planned along the way.
The first earthcache was "which way did it travel" which was a quick roadside lesson on glacial erratics. The second one was "Slip Sliding Away" which was all about a landslide... what impressed us more than the landslide were all the chanterelles we found! Our final earthcache of the trip was the "Plaster Rock's Gypsum Karst" earthcache.
At this point it started to pour cats and dogs, signalling the end of our geoacaching vacation. It was time to head home. The only other stop along the way was to have supper at a little casse-croute in Quebec. Oh, and of course we had to stop by the Lehmann's to invite them to come eat chanterelles at our house the next day!
