It has undergone (and is still undergoing) a lot of renovations. There was a new exhibit on primates that the kids hadn't seen and which we enjoyed thoroughly. Mental note, always come early cause it's nice and quiet for the first hour where the school groups haven't arrived yet!
Arriving at the museum. Construction is still underway.
On the bird floor, the children's corner explains about bird houses and bird feeders.
Al rescate amigos, to the rescue my friends!
Wait, that doesn't look like a bird... is this some sort of booby trap?!
Christopher weighs 1 turkey, Sam weighs 2 turkeys,...
Sammy is about 10cm taller than a great blue heron but only has half the wing span.
This is a great place to go bird watching...
lots of binoculars and the birds aren't flying away!
Every night the Sammy chimp makes a new nest in a tree to sleep in for the night.
I guess all that monkeying around made Samantha sleepy.
Poppa was happy to get almost to the rhesus macaque
Jane Goodall's camp setup.
On to the mammals, our tour guide Christopher identifies the moose.
Is that a polar bear or a Sammy seal?
The bear has gone grocery shopping and Sammy is ringing up his order...
seems Christopher is on the menu for tonight!
