June 17 - July 14, 2009
There was also an educational path surrounding the magical woods and based on the theme of alpine flowers and herbal remedies. After we had finished our walk, it brought us back to the main lift station just in time for lunch and then to catch the free wood carving program where Sam made her own walking stick.
Sammy feels quite at home in the herbal kitchen... having made dandelion jam at home, she's ready to try her hand at dandelion honey. Or how about some nettle tea?
A pretty alpine flower with rain drops on it.
Wild roses, wood crane's bill and nettles

When you come on a drizzly day, you get the playground all to yourself!
Samantha could spend hours blocking the water, then letting it run.
Christopher has a chance to hop too...
where can we get a trampoline like this for our own yard?!
Back to the playground!
Once the stick is done, Samantha gets to paint it.
A handy porcupine stick holder for painting and letting the sticks dry.
