August 7 to 29, 2010
Finally we got to the Kaiserwelt playground and the kids had an amazing time. Whether it was the weather, or whether this is just a less popular playground, it was so much less busy than Hexenwasser. As we sat eating lunch Rubby even commented how there were 4 trampolines, and not one of them had anyone on them! Even Christopher got to really try out the trampoline for the first time and later that night he cited the trampoline as his favourite thing of the day. Rubby also had fun... he got to be a kid and try out all the different climbing, jumping and spinning games!
While the helicopter keeps working in the background, we check out the playground at Kaiserwelt.
The view across the valley to the Kaisergebirge.
Shhhh, apparently the Kaiser is sleeping.
And so is the Princess!
Christopher on the climbing ropes.
The joy of coming on a dreary day... we get the trampoline all to ourselves!
Christopher perfecting his jumps.
The kids take a break from jumping as the helicopter "peeks over the peak".
Enjoying both a snack and a view.
Superman!
Lots of climbing opportunities. These aren't like the monkey bars back home!
This wasn't as comfortable as Christopher thought it would be.
That's better!
Sam's quite the expert at all these playground activities and she shows Christopher how they all work.
A spinning platform.
Hold on tight, poppa's gonna make it spin super fast!
A balancing act.
Some of the kids at this playground seem a little bigger than others. ;-)
A gift shop and kids craft center next to the Kaiser's fortress.
A knight's outfit at the gift shop.
Outdoor board bames by the kids craft house.
Magic mirror fun.
The kids try some of the wheeled toys by the restaurant.
Rubby wanted to play too... luckily he found a John Deere where he could give the kids a ride.
Panoramic of the Kaiserwelt playground.
A fancy planter and bicycle stand all in one.
Opa and the kids take a final swing in the Viking ship.
Sam in the "tree house".
Opa comes to check it out... hmmm, did he say he would build one for them back home?! ;-)
