kundler klamm

muehltal - wildschoenauer ache

As we came to the end of the gorge the stream widened again and we headed across a field to spend some time playing by the water. The kids had fun playing ploumps and collecting rocks. Samantha ended up collecting so many rocks in her backpack that at one point we had to get her to stop and empty out her backpack at the side of the road so she could do some triage because the pack was too heavy! (apparently Samantha takes after her mother! *grin*)

Lots of pretty butterflies.

The butterflies really seemed to like these pink flowers!

Christopher is wide awake again... and seems to be having fun!

Die Holzhackerbuam (the lumberjack boys!).

Sam does not want to be left out of the fun!

Beautiful flowers along the path.

Little rock towers.

More flowers with amazingly bright colours.

A sweet brother and sister moment.

Here we go a-wandering!

Time for a little rest.

Here comes the Bummel-train!

As we come out of the ravine, the cliffs give way to green meadows along the Wildschoenauer stream.

The rocky cliffs are now further in the distance.

We decided to take some time to play among the rocks next to the stream.

The kids play ploumps (of course!)

We gather a collection of beautiful and interesting rocks to show to each other.

Sammy's sand drawing of her and Christopher.

Christopher shows an amazing talent of being able to stack rocks by throwing them from afar. ;-)

Samantha the rock hound.

Lots of cool rocks!

Samantha proudly wearing her hiking shoes for the first time.

A farmer in the field.

A bee having a sip inside the flower.

A hawk or eagle (?) flies overhead.

Beautiful countryside.
