Geocaching

May 15, 2010

a fellow geocacher offered to lend rubby the DVD box sets of doctor who, so we decided that we would go to a geo-event that was going on today in order to pick them up. Since the event wasn't until 1:00pm, we decided to pack up the kids' bicycle & tricycle and head off to do some geocaches along the bike path on the quebec side of the ottawa river before hand. other than the fact that there was lots of poison ivy, it was a beautiful location to go for a ride. aftewards we headed to bate island (where the event was taking place) and had a picnic lunch. the kids enjoyed playing by the water and after the event, a stranger gave us some peanuts and told us that the ground hogs would eat them from out hands, if we were patient enough, so we gave it a try.
