Sint Willibrordus (a.k.a. Williwood)

Another example of a good marketing gimmick will draw tourists.

This is a small town that as far as I can tell has 3 attractions… a pretty church, a quicky place to eat and of course a cheesy town sign. Lol It was also the only place I ran into road construction.

Since I was passing through the area I just had to stop. I visited the church, and I was going to visit the cemetery too, but unlike Aruba, the few cemeteries I’ve seen in Curaçao all had locked gates. I peeked over the wall, and it looks like the cemeteries aren’t as “decorated” as Aruba’s anyway.

Then I checked out the WILLIWOOD sign up close, and then finally headed over across the street to grab a bite to eat at the local restaurant, famous for goat burgers! And yes, I did get the goat burger. It didn’t really have a strong taste to it, in fact the special sauce was more powerful (in a good way) than the meat.
