Porto Mari

There are so many beaches that I didn’t visit them all but I chose to come visit this one because it’s claim to fame was a pair of pigs (Willy and Woody) that hang out on the beach with the tourists.

When I arrived, I saw that the pigs were near the parking area and not down by the beach but I decided to go check out the beach anyway since I was already there. When I got to the beach entrance there was a lady telling me that there was an entrance fee. Not sure if this was a tourist scam becasue I hadn’t encountered any other beach that charged an entrance fee. Since this place wasn’t known for snorkeling and the pigs weren’t down on the beach I decided to skip this beach especially since there was a trail just off the parking lot in the other direction. So I did that, enjoyed he views and found a geocache (they are often just hidden under a pile of rocks). Even up on the hill, I could hear a group of kids screaming down at the beach, so that was another reason I wasn’t happy to pay to experience that. Lol
