Iceland: Day 1 - Skalholt

June 25, 2004

As we started to head out again, it began to clear a bit. We went to a church in Skalholt where we were lucky enough to catch a little choir rehearsal. The painting on the back of the church was done by an Icelandic artist who was trying to capture the beautiful Icelandic scenery which would make Jesus come and visit this place. Outside the church we saw archeologists working on some excavations of buildings around the church. Coincidentally, that night when we were flipping through TV channels we saw a report on the church and the choir rehearsal of today!
