This morning we finished off our drive through the Eastfjords and decided to head to Höfn in the hopes that weather conditions would permit us to do a snowscooter adventure on the Vatnajökull glacier, Europe's largest ice cap (almost 150 km broad and up to a kilometre thick).
The snowscooter adventure on the glacier was a sponsored gift from the folks that Rubby works with at Canadian Heritage... the amazing thing was that they were even able to ensure a beautiful sunny and clear day for our adventure! Thanks a million guys!
After our glacier adventure we stopped quickly at Jökulsarlón, the glacial lagoon, but it started to fog over so we headed to Skaftafell National Park to set up camp and check out what the park has to offer.
