After lunch we took the bus to the myrdal glacier. The actual station for the glacier excursions is fairly high up on the mountain and the road going up was bumpy, steep and treacherous. our hats off to the bus driver. Once at the station, they gave us overalls and any other gear needed to stay warm on the glacier. The weather was still not looking good but we piled into a big orange truck anyway and another guide drove us up to the glacier tongue to check out the conditions. Unfortunately it was pretty foggy and even worse was the wind, but it was still pretty amazing. And even with the big truck we still managed to get stuck in a snow patch for a bit on the way back down!

doesn't look as windy when you don't have hair to blow around!
