Iceland: Day 5 - Drangahraun

June 29, 2004

As we started to round the tip of the Snæfellsnes peninsula we occasionally stopped to check out the amazing coastline. We also stopped and did a short hike to the edge of a water filled crater. And when we came into the Drangahraun area, another ancient lava field area, we found an ancient fishing village of barely recognizable stone huts. Nowadays the only occupants here seem to be the sheep looking for shelter!

Hmmm, a little cold for a swim perhaps.

What a beautiful spot for a cottage!
